    researching my friends relatives

    Hi
    I am asking if you can researching the service records of 2 RWF men who served.
    Tommy Iball and I believe Tom Gittins. Both from Mold.
    Your help in this matter is much appreciated.

    Transferrred to Royal Fusiliers 11/12/1943

    Gittins, Thomas, 4188302
    Attested 01/05/1928
    Re-enlisted Royal Artillery 30/04/1932

    Gittins, Thomas, 4191247
    Attested 23/10/1933, 7 RWF
    Re-enlisted Royal Tank Corps 20/08/1937

    Gittins, Thomas Edward, 4200241
    Attested 05/04/1940, 6 RWF
    Transferred to Military Police Corps 01/11/1940

    Gittins, Thomas Percy, 4195366
    Attested 7 RWF
    Discharged 26/03/1946

    No idea whether it's any help.

    in further research into above:
    It should read:
    Thomas Anthony Gittins
    WW2
    RWF/RA?
    Born Southsea Wrexham
    & brother Estyn Gittins
    RWF

    Thomas Peter Iball
    Born Buckley
    RWF

    Any info on above would be much appreciated ie: RWF Bn's they served in, medal cards etc.

    Benny, the only Thomas Iball in the Enlistment Register is Iball 4209686.

    As for Gittins, it looks like the one you want is Gittins 4188302.

    Estyn Gittins 4195400 served with 4 RWF, as did his brother, and was transferred to 30 Welch Regt 18/05/1942. His enlistment date is not given in the Register.

    I have no further information. But the family can apply for service records. Further info here:

    No idea, Benny. As I said, the only Thomas Iball I could find is 4209686. All I could find about him is in my first post.
