Irfon Roberts (Late RWF)
It is with great regret that we announce the death of Irfon Roberts at 1300hrs on 4th February 2023 at the age of 101.
Irfon served in the Royal Welch Fusiliers during WW2, and it is assumed that he is the last surviving Royal Welch Fusiliers Officer who served in WW2.
Irfon Roberts was the Regimental Signals Officer of the 4th Bn Royal Welch Fusiliers during the Normandy landings.
In recent years Irfon Roberts was an active member of the London Branch of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.

The funeral of Captain Irfon Roberts will take place on Monday 27 February at 1330hrs at St Pancras Church, 7 The St, Kingston, Lewes, BN7 3PB.
