World War 1 - The Fallen
I thought this may be of interest to members of the Forum.
There is a small village in Herefordshire, about 12 miles East of the Welsh border called Eardisland. [W3W - ///princes.puppy.schooling]
The village has an ongoing project to honour and remember the soldiers from their community who were killed in action on WW1 battlefields
They have done this by marking out walking routes around their local area, the project provides guides and information about the route, and also along each route they have erected a gate.
Each route and gate is dedicated and named after one of the above mentioned casualties.
There are two RWF and one SWB names on this list, to which the Regiment,’ Royal Welsh’; have kindly sponsored a gate and route for each of the three.
The two RWF are Privates Speke and Morgan, the SWB Private Jones.
There are bio pics on each of the Fallen; the RWF ones may help the Forum team collating World War 1 casualties with more information on these individuals.
Link below verified.
