View Full Version : Cpl James Thomas 7 RWF
Hello all, i am after any information on the above named,i am a member on the UK 1/6TH Enthusiasts Forum and one of the boys father "Cpl James Thomas"has recently died,what is known is he was a Cpl in the Battalions Carrier platoon stationed at Heronden Park in 1943,was wounded in Normandy,possible MID for bravery,married Dec 24/44.There are photos attached to the thread on the other forum which ive had permision to post here its just sussing out how to cross post.Any help much appreciated

Was this guy also at Dunkirk? The reason I ask is that a 4191217 Fus JR Thomas received the MM dated 3 Sept 1940?????
There are a couple of Thomas recipients of the MID, do you have the service number?

This mans Christian names were John Richard
Not to sure,possible, i know he joined in 1939 and in one of the photos you can make out a light coloured medal ribbon,i have asked about his army number will let you know as soon as.In later life he moved to Rhodesia and joined the RLI
