Received the sad news(via Don Donovan) that Arthur Williams the Merthyr Comrades Branch Secretary died suddenly on the 24th August 2006.

Our thoughts and condolences go to Arthur's family at this very sad time.

If anyone is able to provide anymore detail, funeral arrangements etc, it would be very much appreciated.

Very sad to hear of the death of Arthur, it was Arthur who came down to explain the proper procedures to us when we were setting up our Branch. I know all members of the Bargoed & Blackwood Branch would want to pass on their heart felt condolences to his family. Another passionate Welchman gone forever

New details.

Monday Sept 4th to the Merthyr Parish church for 1100 hrs followed by Burial at Cefn Coed cemetary 1200 hrs. Dress Regimental Dress with Medals and berets and hackles.

Then all mourners are welcome to the Tregenna Hotel, after the funeral. Major Ellingham would like as many Standard Bearers as possible to attend and Arthur Ellingham will be outside the church from 1030 am.
