Captain F. Douglas Williams TD MiD later Lt Colonel

I am trying to research Captain F. Douglas Williams, TD MiD, his Service Dress jacket is dated 4/3 1942 named F. D. Williams and has rank for Lt. Colonel, his KD has the name Douglas Williams in the collar. Both have the flash or in the case of the KD two poppers where it used to be fitted to be removed for laundering and the OSD collars.
His uniforms all have the same set of ribbons up, 39-45 Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal with Mention in Dispatches oak leaf, 1937 Coronation medal for King George VI and the TD Efficiency medal. I assume he was promoted Lt Colonel post war but I cannot find him.

I have looked in "The Red Dragon" and both post war volumes of the Regimental Records, but have not had chance to ask JP or had a look in the new two volume WWII regimental records, which was released in March I think.

If anyone can assist in this I would be grateful.

    Regards,

    Jerry

I managed to track him down in the Gazette, Gazetted Captain in the 4th Denbishshire Bn Territorial RWF in November 1937, Award of his TD Efficiency medal in Gazetted September 1944, his majority gazetted January 1946, his Mentioned in Dispatches was gazetted May 1946 and his notice that he was too old for the reserve list, gazetted September 1955 as Major (honorary Lt. Colonel).

I still can't find his full name and other than he served in the Mediterranean I cannot as yet ascertain with whom he served unless he was with 10th RWF which became the 6th Para Royal Welch Bn which did serve in the med.

I spoke to Jon (JP) and he had no more information than I already had except to confirm his MiD was for Italy in 1944, but he could check that he was was not in the RWF 6th para BN or 60th Anti Tank Bn so he thinks he was probably attached to HQ in Italy.
