A very sad day. Bumped into Colin, Mair and kids in a restaurant near Brecon while driving from Hartlepool to Porthcawl, many years ago. Then he lost Mair and eventually met somebody new and last saw him at League of Friends do in Chester when he looked so good I didn’t recognise him. He was a good friend in Hong Kong, I hope he didn’t suffer. Goodbye and Rest in Peace, old pal.

A well-known, popular and highly respected member of the Battalion, Colin’s passing will come as a great shock to his colleagues and many friends.

One of the Battalion’s real characters, Colin will be remembered for his old fashioned values, good humour and generosity of spirit.
