    William Marychurch Morgan Formerely 15th Battalion, RWF

    For any medal collectors out there. The medals of William Marychurch Morgan, including his Military Cross and Albert Medal are to be auctioned at Halls Auctioneers, Shrewsbury, Shropshire on the 22/23rd March, 2017.

    William served with the 15th Battalion R.W.F., attaining the rank of Temporary Captain during WW1., and went on to serve in the Second World War attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel.

    He was awarded the Albert Medal when he threw himself on an unexploded hand grenade during training.

    His complete set of medals is expected to fetch around £12,000.

    His medals have been bought by an unnamed person from North Wales for £10,000
