    Richard H Williams 87026

Forum members, Once again I need your help regarding information on Richard H. Williams Regimental Number 87026.

I am in possession of his British War Medal which came to me via my Grandfathers affects, ( among his medals ). I think he is related by marriage as there is a Williams in the family tree. The only reason I can think of that my Grandfather would have his medal is that my Grandfather's BWM., ( which I have) has a broken clasp, and so I am assuming that he borrowed Richard's and was not return due to my Grandfathers sudden death at work.

I cannot find his service records, although I have a copy of his Medal Index Card. He was awarded British War Medal and Victory Medal reference J/2/102B28, page 9209. So Richard entered theatre of war during or after 1916.

Any information would be much appreciated, if that includes a family address that would be even better.

My I say thanks in advance for your efforts.
