"It is with sad news I have just been informed of the sad loss of one of our brothers Brian Weatherson who has been terminally ill for the last few months and passed away in the last hour. I first met brian in 1973 when we worked together in point of ayr colliery in North Wales and he took me under his wing and looked after me when I was going through a bad time and introduced me to his family who I lived with for a lot of years. We both joined the army in late 75 and went to Tidworth in 76 I went to SP Coy and he went to A Coy. After he left the army he lived in Manchester and worked as a security guard until today. My condolences go out to his family and to his new wife from last week Lesley total gutted and miss him already R.I.P Brian …as soon as I find out details of his funeral I will let people know."
