I am deeply saddened to hear of Terry's passing. He was a very special person and during our service, we had become very close friends.

If ever there was a case of ‘books should never be judged by their cover’, Terry is a shining example of this. No matter how tough or adverse the conditions he was always happy and would greet you with a genuine smile and a wave. He was sincere, honest and one of life’s nice men.

Known to the lads as ‘Chindit’, what he lacked in stature he more than made up for in tenacity and drive. Passionate about his chosen vocation, I would trust his advice in his given trade as I would a section commander.

One of the saddest moments is when you hear of the loss of a friend.

His untimely death is a tragedy and my thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

I remember Terry very well indeed, a great guy. I'm sure we did Cwrt-y-Gollen in the same training platoon in 1968 joining 1st Bn in Honiton just before going off to Denmark on exercise. RIP.

I first met Terry in Hong Kong and we became good friends. Even when you know someone is ill when that moment finally arrives it is a shock and he will be fondly remembered for his cheerful outlook. RIP Terry.

All members of the Royal Welch Fusiliers Comrades Association - Wrexham Branch send his family and friends our condolences at this time.
