Re: Wife of Colonel Philip Eyton-Jones
A thank you letter has been received from Colonel Phillip Eyton-Jones which reads as follows:
"Dear Friends
I have been given a box in which Jane has saved all the cards, letters and messages of sympathy following Doreen's death, and have just realized the enormity of the task in trying to respond to you and thank you for all your kindness at this sad time.
On behalf of Jane, Jim, Top and Phillip as well as myself and all our close family, may I thank you for all your support, kind wishes and remembrances which made the parting all the more sincere.
I thank Jane together with Sr Liz for organizing Doreen's Funeral, which was very moving, and I thank those who participated to make it just as Doreen would have wanted. What a tribute to her.
Please forgive us if you feel that this response is rather bland, but we would still be writing at Christmas-time if we tried to respond personally.
With our grateful thanks for all your tributes, prayers, and sincere sympathy on this sad occasion.
Yours sincerely,
Phillip and Family".
