The 2016–17 Premier League will be the 25th season of the Premier League, the top English professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season is due to start on 13 August 2016, running to 21 May 2017.

The fixture list says ‘Saturday 13 August’ but, for Fantasy Premier League managers, the season starts here. The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is now open for registration and preparations can begin.

I've created a league in Fantasy Premier League called RWF Forum. Joining the league couldn't be easier. Simply use this link and you'll be added automatically after you've entered the game:

Squad Size

To join the game, select a fantasy football squad of 15 players, consisting of:

• 2 Goalkeepers
• 5 Defenders
• 5 Midfielders
• 3 Forwards

Budget

The total value of your initial squad must not exceed £100 million.

Players Per Team

You can select up to 3 players from a single Premier League team.

After selecting your squad, you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Unlimited transfers can be made at no cost until your first deadline, which is: 13 Aug 11:30
