Wrexham branch RWFCA ST Davids dinner
On Saturday 3 march at 7.30 PM Wrexham branch RWFCA held ST David day dinner in Hightown Barracks, the home of Royal Welch Fusiliers.
Dinner was well attended but sadly with Efion not being there members from the branch all send our best wishes.
Dinner was fantastic and members and guest all enjoyed the leek eating party.
The corp of drums were provided by the Grenadier guards Staffordshire ACF, who did a fantastic job and a rousing drum display.
After dinner members and guest congregated in the bar, Major Richards started the ball rolling by getting old and new comrades singing We are galloping 23 RD , from then all the old songs kept the party going to the early hours. This was my first ST Davids day dinner for a such a long time, and it was a privileged to hold the dinner in the barracks celebrate with men who served as Fusiliers from all ages .
Hopefully next year Wrexham branch will have more people come on board and support RWFCA. cheers Val.
