On the evening of Friday 11th Sept 2015, at Bodelwydden Castle, the nation remembered another of their RWF fallen. The Family of Cpl David(Legs) Wright gathered to receive The Elizabeth Cross. David died in Northern Ireland in 1993. The award was presented to Mrs Eluned Wright, mother of David by the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd. The family were supported at the event by a selection of his RWF Comrades from his service days.
A sombre, but uplifting presentation was followed by a happy social gathering, during which every RWF man present spoke personally to Daves Mother. The event was organised by RHQ The Royal Welsh, led by Capt Des Williams DCM.
