    W R Thomas, 14th RWF. Regimental signaller WW1

W R Thomas from Blaenau Ffestiniog wrote his memoirs around 1972.
Running to 215 or so typescript pages a copy is available at IWM Lambeth but at prohibitive, to me, cost.
I have failed to locate one nearer so does anyone know if the RWF Museum has one or any other suggestions. Blaenau Ff. RWF Club maybe?
    Thanks for looking, Jules

Just bumping this up in case. Considered ordering a copy but £80 plus costs is a page too far methinks.
Can't believe the RWF Museum has no copy.
May have to organise a whip around to fund one for them

The only W R Thomas from Blaenau area I can spot at the moment is 20214 William Richard Thomas from 3 Bryn Towyn, Festiniog. Nil records I can see but he is on the embarkation list for the 14th Bn. Looks like he was wounded at around Mametz time. What I wanted to point out was that, given this wounding and looking at his Medal Roll it seems he went to 1st Bn after recovery. The 1st Bn casualty book shows him as joining them 21 5 1917. That's a long winded way of saying that you might not get a lot of 14th Bn aspect for the 80 quid. If I have the right man that is of course.

I had thought there was a copy in the Gwynedd Archives, Caernarfon (??or Dolgellau, seeing he was a Ffestiniog lad): but quite possibly I'm mistaken. I do recollect that the version in the IWM was itself a copy, so the original must be somewhere else.
