    thank you all for this information. I've just printed it all and have to carefully read it all. I'm new to this ' forum thing" so can anyone tell me how to add more pictures than one. I'll insert a picture of Donald Barrett but I also have several pictures from his first grave in the village of Baexem - if anyone is interested -

    Lovely pictures Ria. What year was the picture with the children taken? How did you obtain the picture of Donald? Are you in contact with his family?

    I'm not sure at what year the picture with the children was taken. I don't think it was very long after the war. The picture from Donald was received from his sister who has been in touch with an old lady who gave it all to me. I'm trying to get in touch with the family again.
