John Edward Blundell 890652
Hi Everyone
I doubt that anyone will be able to help me with this, given you are RWF, but here goes. My Uncle (Mum's brother), John Edward Blundell was killed in WW2. He was born in 1919 and died on 28th May 1940 in Belgium (age 21). He was in 69 (The Denbighshire Yeomanry) Medium Regiment, Royal Artillery number 890652. Son of John Edward and Lily Blundell of Llandudno Junction. I have a pic of his grave and also his CWG - that's it !! What I want to know is if there is a record of how he died. I have tried to look for a war diary for this unit to see if it gives any info, but no luck. The RA site says that if I want his Service Record I will have to pay £30 for it. Any ideas from you wonderful bunch of knowledgeable people please.

Richard Ward, I don't know what to say. I'm flabbergasted !! You guys are just fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much Richard. You're a star. Oh, just as a by-the-way, I was the one who put the article in the newspaper about my grandad. Again, thank you. What a dedicated and knowledgeable bunch you all are.

I'm "MRS Crackers" by the way - husband is ex RWF (Haywood). If only that Aylesford guy had not decided to make a detour through Wormoult ........
