Re: We have a new member - Noranda

Hello everyone. I am researching a family member for the family history that I am writing and have discovered that Stephen Harris served in the 2nd Battalion of the 23rd foot from 1868 until 1887. His number was 1881. Thanks to Find My Past I have a copy of his Attestation Papers and Discharge information. He received the Ashantee Medal but unfortunately it is no longer in the family. I will have to keep an eye on ebay now I have read some of the post on the forum regarding the sale of medals. I have also read some old posts by Glyn that outline the movements of the 2nd Battalion -Thank you very much for the info Glyn:)
