Please find attached to this post details outlining the events for the 1st and 2nd Battalions, The Royal Welsh Merger Parade on Thursday 3 April 14.

The parade is designed to formally celebrate the merger of the 1st and 2nd Battalions, The Royal Welsh. This will help all embrace the newly merged Battalion and build cohesion. It is also an opportunity for all ranks to enjoy a ceremonial event and for members of the newly merged Battalion and affiliated Comrades Branches to embrace the change and look forward to the latest chapter in our Regiment’s history.

If you have not already done so, tickets can be ordered prior to Thursday 20 March 2014, and are available from the following:

a. Retired Officers and members of Comrade Branches. Please contact Capt (Retd) Des Williams DCM or his team, at Regimental Headquarters on 01978 316187 or 316188 to purchase tickets.

b. Serving Officers at E post. Please contact Lt Kate Park (Detachment Commander) via DII (2RWELSH-RAO-DetComd) or 94342 2135 / 01980 650135 to purchase tickets.

c. Serving Soldiers at E post. Please contact D (FSp) Coy Clks via DII (2RWELSH-FSPCOY-CLK2) or 94342 2188 / 01980 650188 to purchase tickets

Dress for all members of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh will be No2 Dress (Future Army Dress) for the parade; all others are requested to wear suits. Comrades are encouraged to wear their blazers, regimental ties and medals.

Finally, this instruction has been sent to all email addresses held by RHQ, but please could I ask that this instruction is given the very widest circulation amongst the Regimental family.
