Thumbs up PARANG by Gareth Ellis

Singapore, 1941 In the dark, fearful days before the surrender of Singapore, a United Marine Corps plane disappears after taking off from Selatar airfield. Malaya, 1957 Sixteen years later during the Malayan Emergency, a tiny British Army patrol stumbles across a plane wreck in the Negri Sembilan jungle. Within minutes, a murderous exchange of fire between the patrol and a Communist terrorist errups. This sets in train events that take twenty-five years to unfold. The UK and Malaysia, 1982 Why are British and American intelligence agencies increasingly desperate to locate the three surviving members of the patrol? And a plane that crashed forty years ago? What secrets does the wreckage hold? The three former soldiers find themselves haunted and shadowed by circumstances that climax in the writhing green of the Negri Sembilan jungle. What stunning revelation will confront a shocked British Cabinet?

    Re: PARANG by Gareth Ellis

    Hello Paul,
Snap I am writing my story of five years undetected crime. This includes the incident of a monkey (Alive) placed in a C.S.M.'s bed and I was wrongly accused of this crime. I think the anonymous culprit (Double Dai) can be found in Swansea even after 53 years have elapsed. He blew the gaff when inebriated on the Comrades visit to the First in Ireland.I am at the point when we finished our jungle training and then on to anti terrorist operations Malaya (ATOM) and joined the Gurkha brigade.the proposed title is 5 & 7.I will have a shufti for the book when I next go to Cardiff. regards to all.
