Hi again folks,

I have another query.
I have Edward Jordan Private 1/23 Regiment b Ruabon Denbighshire on the 1871 census in barracks at Brecon.
I have also obtained the details at the bottom from FMP.
When I look at the FMP image for 23rd regiment, his battalion is 85.1 - i'm assuming 1 is 1st Bat and 85 may be his number?
Applicant for discharge is G.O. Ireland (1178); 8th Feb 1877; Conduct = V Bad; Cause of Discharge = Bad Conduct

His Amount of service to GC Pay is given as 4y 104 days.
His Amount of service to Completion of Limited Engagement is given as 4y 359 days.

If he was in barracks in 1871 his service should be at least 6 years.

Q1 If a soldier was discharged for V Bad conduct, would they have reduced his pensionable service?
Q2 Does anyone have any details of this man?
