Thomas John Harrison RWF 1959-74 Period
Hi all Im trying to find anyone with info or ideally a photo of or with my father in.
He may of been know as John, Jon or even TJ ?
He was in the Welch Fusiliers.
Apparently he had a photo of him on a horse...
He was born 22nd April 1941 in St Asaph
He died on 11th June 1983 in Rhyl
He had lived in surrey - woking area.
He had apparently worked at the palace in london and had stayed in the union jack club
I guess he was around 18 at the earliest age to join so this would be 1959 and he would of finished around 1974 for sure. so sometime between these dates.
He was married in 1964 to Uda Ann Gunner - his wife.
He had 4 children previous to myself in 1974
2 boys in 1965, a girl in 1966 and a boy in 1968
I know this is a longshot but, any info or advice would be a help.
I dont have his service numbers or anything to go on.
Thanks

Re: Thomas John Harrison
Hi Richard, a warm welcome.
This post may have been missed by members, so I've relocated it to the Research Area. Hopefully someone will shout up.
I'm assuming his wife was german, in 1964 the Bn were based in Iserlohn from May 63 - July 64. Then Minden until 1966. They also completed a UN Operations in Cyprus during this period, so he would have been awarded a medal for that tour if he participated.
Best
