    Fusilier 'Rosie' Ross

Hi everyone, this is my first visit to the forum. I've only recently found out that my great grandfather served with the Royal Welch (I think) and I'd like to find out any information on him that I can. The only thing I have to go on is a mantle clock that was found that was my nan's (she passed away last year) and I was hoping people more knowledgable than me would be able to help.

The inscription on the brass plate on the clock reads....In memory of No. 4185518 Fusilier 'Rosie' Ross, The Royal Welch Fusiliers, From the Mechanical Transport Section 1931.

Any help you can give would be great, many thanks.

I can confirm that William Percy Ross served as a regular with the RWF. Will have a dig when I get back to my laptop.
