Evans Brothers killed in Action

Hi All
At the Remembrance Service in Caernarfon on Sunday I was asked by a local Man if I could find any information on his Uncles who was KIA during the Second WW, I was astonished when he said that they, Three Brothers, died on the same day, he has no Army numbers or any idea what Service or Regiment they served with, I assume, due to the locality, that they served with the Royal Welch Fusiliers or Artillery, the names are on the cenotaph in Caernarfon, they are,:-
John Henry Evans
Lewis James Evans
Mathias Evans
Any help please.

There has been another name added to the above Cenotaph in the last week under WW2, will post it tomorrow
Brian

I'm finding it difficult to identify three men on CWGC for WW2 with these names being brothers let alone dying same date.

Is there a slim chance your man has got the wrong war as there are three Evans brothers in WW1, two of whom were KIA same day

Much sympathy is extended to Mrs Evans, Pool Side whose two sons have been killed in action. Last week, as announced in our previous issue, news was received that Pte Eliseus Evans, RWF had fallen in action in Palestine aged 32 years. On Saturday Mrs Evans received another message conveying the sad intelligence of the death in action of another son, Pte Robert Evans. Both it appears fell on the same day. The former was employed for some time with Messrs Lake and Co Ltd and the latter with Messrs Edward Hughes and Co. (C&D Herald 30/11/1917)

6 11 1917 was 3rd Battle of Gaza. Around 50 1st 6th Battalion casualties killed & many more wounded-many local men

I'm having a struggle to positively link a casualty named Evan Evans to these two.
