This is a book about the Welsh Guards time in Afghanistan 2009,its written by Toby Harnden,and highlights the problems they faced due to inept eqpt and lack of clear leadership from above ,both civilian and military,quite a large book but well written and well worth reading.

Hello Keithwill 38,
This book caused some trouble after it was written. The M o D, were under the impression that it could cause trouble in as much as it contained too much military info and detail. As result of the M o D's instructions several thousand copies were destroyed. The author then had to have his new version checked and approved by the M o D.Signs of the times?

Yes the book has been censored in places with thick black lines,so i am guessing it ruffled some feathers and rightly so to
