After the funeral of Captain Roy Blewitt, I caught a taxi to Wrexham general station. I had only just sat down when a military gentleman introduced himself to me. It was none other than Colonel Peter Gooderson from Cardiff R.H.Q. We exchanged pleasantries before getting on the south Wales train. During our journey I found out the Colonel liked Sudoko and x words from the news papers. We also talked about the ribbons used on the V.C and other military matters. I have previously been a bit of a doubting Thomas about the Colonel. My previous views were allayed during this journey and the hours passed most pleasantly. I would like to express my thanks to Colonel Gooderson for introducing himself and talking to me as a comparatively unknown member of the R.W.F.C.A and getting to know each other.
