Re: BILL STREET BEM (Strasser)
Saddend to hear Bill has gone, Like Al I joined when Bill was already a Legend, could not pick up a RWF magazine without seeing Bill in it, he was an Icon, and even later in life seemed to beam positive energy with his presence, He will be missed, very much so at the League of Friends, my thought are with Bills family at this sad time

Re: BILL STREET BEM (Strasser)
Sad news indeed, a great man and true Royal Welch Fusilier. My lasting memory will be the great big smile coming through the huge white beard in Wrexham 2009. A Legend for sure.
Rest in Peace Bill.

Re: BILL STREET BEM (Strasser)
Yes, Bill will be sadly missed, I remember on a short posting, (I think it was Kenya) Bill had persuaded about eight of us, (on his behalf) each to bring in a duty free bottle of Spirit through customs, at the other end he was running round like a headless chicken trying to catch us all before we scampered off with the loot. What a sad week, I and all at the Caernarfon RWFCA Branch send our deepest condolences to all Family and Friends. RIP Bill.

Re: BILL STREET BEM (Strasser)
A Legend has departed this mortal coil!
I was travelling to S.Wales this morning when Bob Doak contacted me with this sad news. Strasse is now with his friends TG (Dad) Griffiths and Jock Lawson. Those three were inseperable when they were serving together in the Regiment.
As has been said, Characters are difficult to forget and Bill Street was very much a character he was in every way very much part of the RWF's history from the 2nd WW right through to now. His softly spoken voice and wicked sense of humour will be missed by us all.
Sleep tight friend until we meet again on that great parade ground above.
Hingey and all members of the Aberystwyth Branch
