1 R WELSH Remembrance Parade in Cyprus

An extract out of the Cyprus Lion:

Remembrace Day was celerbrated at Happey valley Episkopi last Sunday with nearly two thousand people attending. Vetrans from World War Two mingled with the servicemen and women, families and friends as the congregation gathered to remember the fallen from conflicts over the years.

The colour party provided by the 1 R WELSH was led into the ground by the regimental goat LCpl William Windsor, followed by the Senior Ensign to the Queens Colours Lt McDougall, with the Ensign to the Regimental Colour Lt Marston, Sgt Major WO2 (CSM) Russ Pritchard, C/Sgt Si Herron and Sgt Gareth Redfern making up the colour party. (picture to follow)

Several veterans associations and service associations laid wreaths at the altar, including a tri-service presentation from Wing Commander Conway, (RAF), Lt Colonel James 1 R WELSH and Lt Commander Hill (RN).
