    Re: Welcome Angela Trevers

My interest in the Royal Welch Fusilliers is through my husband. He is trying to trace details of his father John Frederick Trevers who he believes to have been a RSM. He was billeted at a house in Radavormwald in Germany at the end of WW11. He left the army in appoximately 1947/48. Does anyone remember him or is there anyone who can possilbly give us some information about him?

    Many thanks, Angela

    Re: Welcome Angela Trevers

    Dear Angela,
From Regimental Records, the 1st Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers (1st Bn RWF) moved from Penley Hall camp Shropshire and arrived at Caernarvon barracks Dusseldorf Germany. on 1st July 1946.I note that “Trevers J F" at that time was serving with 1st Bn RWF as B Company Quartermaster Sergeant (CQMS). In 1947 I note that he had moved on promotion to D Coy as Company Sergeant Major. (CSM) On the 1st Bn RWF Staff List 1949-1950 I note that CSM Trevers had move back to his old appointment with B Coy as CQMS. His name doesn’t appear on the 1950-1951 Staff List, by now he could have been demobbed. I hope that the above is helpful to you.
    Regards Glyn
