Hi Simon,
I served with your Dad in 'A' Company from 1963 - 1967, he was in 1 Pl.
I think his Pl Cpl was either Wally 15, a forum member, Jones 10 or Ken Easly, and his mates were; Nelly Lytton, Fus's Coppell, Russell 14, Marr, John Blake, Jack Tarr, Dicky Owen to name a few. Unfortunately, I don't know their whereabouts. If I can remember any more I will post them on the forum for you.
His brother Mike was a Cpl in the MT Pl and married a German girl by the name of Sharon - they lived a few doors from me in Married Quarters in Honiton. Indeed, they were both from Tonyrefail and I was from Gilfach Goch, just a few miles away in the Rhondda.
Sexy was quite a character, a Pl Sgts nightmare. He was a right comedian and could take the stage with no props at all and keep an audience amused with his talent, be it at Company or NAAFI functions and around the campfire whilst on Battalion Exercise.
I would be interested in knowing how he and Mike are getting on. When next you speak to him, give him my regards - I started off in the Company Stores with Csgt Ernie Popham and Tony Corbett, another forum member, both known to your Dad, and eventually became 'A' Company Clerk - Gerry 43.
Speak to you soon.

Hi Simon,
I have received a PM from Bob Bacon ref your Dad, I wasn't aware that he was not in good health.
Could you please let me have his address. If he is still in the Tonyrefail area, I will arrange a visit, coupled with a bit of RWF memorabelia plus forum and non forum (email) messages from his chums. He really was a popular character, not just Company but Battalion and I have already been in touch with his old chums who are not on the forum informing them that their old buddy (a real morale booster) isn't well.
My email is: gerrycc943@blueyonder.co.uk and my mobile No is: 07932829502.
Speak to you soon.
