Great grandfather:Pte Thomas Price - Wrexham -1891
I am researching the family history and have discovered in the 1891 census a person, Thomas Price, was serving with the regiment at Wrexham. Given that his name, age and place of birth given in the census all match what I know about my great grandfather is there any other additional information that would confirm this family link. Any information that anybody could supply would be gratefully received.

Re: Great grandfather:Pte Thomas Price - Wrexham -1891
Al,
Many thanks for the swift reply. The details that I know of my great grandfather are:
Name: Thomas Charles Price.
Born: Wrexham in either 1866 or 1867.
Age in 1891: 24
1891 Census: Shows him as a Pte posted to Wrexham Military barracks.
Son of James Price, a shoemaker, from Wrexham.
I know that he got married at St Giles Church in Wrexham on 12 July 1893 to Sarah Jane Phoenix. His occupation is shown as cooper. He then appears to live the rest of his life in the Wrexham area. This is as much info that I have at this stage on his early life. Hope this helps.
regards,
Stuart HP.

Roger,
Many thanks for the census information. It ties in with what I know about the family and where they were living at the time. Thanks again for posting it.
Stuart.
Richard,
Unfortunately I do not. The general information about this Pte Thomas Price would make him my great grand father but I do not have any thing concrete to make the direct link and confirm that he is part of the family. I think I need to make a trip to Wrexham and see if I can get any more info on him from the local record office and also try the local family history society to see if they can help. Many thanks for trying to help me on this one. If I do get anything else on him I will let you know.
Thanks,
Stuart.
