Re: Selly Oak Hospital
Does anyone know what ward they are in etc? I will go and visit them in the next 2 weeks to see how they are getting on. If no info is available no worries I will find them.

Hi Paddy,
Glad to hear that the lads at Selly Oak are doing ok. You mention in your thread that there are 5 in patients however, the start of this thread names 6
I only live approx 3 miles from the hospital and a few years ago (Op Telic) etc, on behalf of the forum, regularly visited the wards until such time as Regular Designated Visiting Military Officers were introduced and visits by non NOK or relative were restricted.
Up until Nov last year, I paid regular visits to the Hospital Canteen, along with an ex squaddie chum of mine, recently deceased, and enjoyed a cup of tea with some of the lads who were mobile enough to visit the canteen - until this thread, I was unaware that there were any Royal Welsh in-patients.
I'm more than happy to continue my visits to the canteen, share a cup of tea and a chat, should you so wish.
Indeed, I'm in the Selly Oak area on Wed 24th and can pop in about 1300hrs.
In the meantime Paddy, you and the lads get well soon and take comfort that there is an abundance of support for our forces, as you will see from this forum, and the sacrifices made are more than appreciated.
