Information needed

Alun Davies 46 has been asked if we can find any information on the following person, he was a prisoner of war in the first world war and the people who are seeking the information via Alun said they remember him serving in Poland.

Further to my needing information on the following person. He was a POW in WWII not WWI as I previously stated. He was either a prisoner or served in Poland at some stage during the war. This chap was the father of one of our Comrades and he is interested in gathering as much information he can about his father and his time spent during the War.

From his number I think he was a Welsh Guardsman.

Hello Paul,
The Welsh Guards have a web site and I am sure they will help if it is at all possible.The site goes under the name of Welsh Guards reunited. Log on and try your luck. I have used it on several occasions.

I can't find any reference to being a POW, and as he is not a Royal Welchman he falls outside my research archive.

Best bet mate is to get the next of kin to apply for his service records.
