    Royal Welch at Kohima

My late father in law was in the RWF in WW2.
He told me that about 12 Royal Welch joined the Royal West Kents as replacements prior to the battle at Kohima. I am trying to find more information about this.
He was interviewed by John Colvin for his book 'Not Ordinary Men' about Kohima..excellent read.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi Old Git,

    Welcome to The Forum.

Hopefully one of our members can have a look through Red Dragon, to see if there is any reference to your query. If not, I'm back in the UK early June and will do it then. I would have thought it more likely that 12 men were temporary detached from the RWF to assist the RWK's. But as you say "before the battle"its quite possible.

Have you had a look at the RWF Kohima War Diary in The Vault? There is a link at the Forum frontpage on the top nav bar. There may be a reference to it
