I have recently added the India General Service Medal od 1854, with clasp- Hazara 1891 to 2022 Pte J Jackson, of the 1st Battalion.

On reasearching the medal, there was a note against his name on the medal roll, which means he died in service. My researcher came up with a list of possible names from the Army Deaths entries.

Does any of the place names seem likely from the battalions movements during this time?
