Gentlemen,
We are all very proud of our former Regiments and rightly so. I have worked with Karl and Wayne Roberts over the last 10 months and we are continuing to move the Regiment forward as one.

The focus for the Regiment this year is operations with C Coy 2 Royal Welsh deploying to Afgan in less than two weeks and A Coy will deploy the same time as the 1st Battalion and B (Rorkes Drift) Coy deploying early 2010.

So at some stage this year we will have welsh soldiers from all 3 Battalions serving in Afgan. These soldiers from whatever Battalion have one thing in common, they are Welsh Infantry and in my eyes they are all true WELSH WARRIORS.

I am sure that you will join me in wishing them all whatever Battalion they are from a safe and successful tour.
