i have never had the privelege to know karl but judging by what all his friends say i missed out . rest in peace karl you were no doubt a special man my deepest sympathies to your family at this sad time

all the nice things that have been said about him makes sense to me now, and others of my generation probably that didn't know him as well as you lot knew him, I can only second what Dutchman has said.
It looks as if the 7th (heaven) Battalion have got themselves another cracking member to join them in the ranks, I'm sure he will be as well loved up there as he has been with us down here.
Joe has told me a bit about him and I know her and Rob thought the world of him and his family, my thoughts go out to them at this sad time. R. I. P.

What a lovely poem Al, where did you get it? I dint know Karl but he sounds like a remarkable man, may he rest in peace. Our thoughts are those who are left behind feeling so sad right now.
