Hello All,
I had an e mail asking me for an update on the timings etc of the AGM. I chose this site to provide the latest timings I have. Friday the 5th September 09-00 hrs Association Golf Competition @ Clays Farm Wrexham.
Saturday 6th September. 09-30 hrs Association indoor shooting competition 10-00 hrs Mayors reception @ the Guildhall Wrexham 10-30 hrs War Pensions clinic Location Battalion HQ block Wrexham 12-00 hrs A.G.M Main hall Presentation of Comrades Medals. 13-00 hrs Buffet lunch in Hightown Barracks. 13-15 hrs Association Raffle prize Draw Main hall.13-30 hrs 1 Royal Welch arrive Hightown
14-00 hrs Parade steps off for Wrexham town centre. ( Marching Comrades join Parade at Nag's Head pub. ) 17-30 hrs Transport from Hightown Barracks to Memorial Hall. 18-00 hrs Beat Retreat, Band 3rd Battalion Royal Welsh , the Corps of Drums ,Clwyd A.C.F. , 4th Battalion The Royal Welsh. Llywn Isaf Green Wrexham. 18-30 hrs bar Open in the Memorial Hall.
19-00 hrs Comrades Reunion Dinner -Memorial hall Drums Display at end of dinner( Admission by ticket only.) The usual toasts will then follow. Sunday the 7th September 09-50 hrs Transport will report to the square to convey Comrades to War Memorial. 10-15 hrs The Parade will R.V.RWF War Memorial Bodhyfryd. 10-25 hrs The President, accompanied by the Chairman and the civci dignitaries proceed to the RWF war memorial.
10-30 hrs Act of Remembrance at Regimental Memorial. 10-45 hrs parade marches to Church led by the Drums.
11-00 hrs Divine Service in Saint Giles Church. 12-15 hrs Salute in High Street will be taken by the Mayor of Wrexham ( Bus returns from Saint Georges Crescent to convey members back to Barracks) 12-45 hrs Buffet lunch Hightown Barracks. 12-15 to 15-00 hrs Bars open in Hightown Barracks.

I hope I am not preaching to the converted I send this info for all concerned after being asked to do so. E&OE excepted. Of course we must be mindfull that time etc can be subject to change.

Hello All,
Up date of the freedom parade.
Saturday 6th September 20008
12-00 hrs Council meet to award the Freedom to the Royal Welch (Colonel of the Regiment and C.O.)
13-00 hrs Band, marching troops, families and friends arrive Hightowm Barracks (HTB)
13-30 hrs Drum Head service on the square of HTB.
14-00 hrs Spectators depart HTB for Llwyn Isaf Green (this will give 30 minutes for spectators to arrive at the Green whilst Band and parade assemble.)
14-30 hrs Parade steps off f rom HTB marching Comrades R.V. at the Nag's Head Pub for 14-30 hrs, and join parade.
15-00 hrs Parade on Llywn Isaf Green. Inspection and address.
15-30 hrs Parade march off, salute taken by the Lord Mayor of Wrexham.
16-00 hrs bar open HTB for Comrades,Marching Troops, Families and Friends.

Please Note:
It has not yet been decided where troops will fall out at the end of the parade.
If troops fall out on Queens Square, So will marching Comrades. If troops march back to HTB Comrades fall out at the Nag's Head Pub.
Comrades Dress The dress as always is Comrades Regimental Dress as laid down by individual branches.
