Hello All,
On Sunday the 19th of November Channel five are showing a series of three programmes on Lord Ashfords collection of V.C.'s. Viewers may well see Hacketts V.C. which is one of four the museum does not own. it may well be some of the V.C winners from the Royal Navy will be shown and these are of interest because originally The Royal navy winners of the V.C had a Blue ribbon as opposed to the Crimson ribbon worn by the V.C winners from the Army. this practice stopped in 1918 when the Royal Air Force took over from the Royal Flying Corps, the RFC recruited from both the Army and Navy. Lord Ashcroft owns some 140 V.C'sregards RBD Bridgend & District Branch Royal Welch Fusiliers Comrades Association

I can only state that the programme will go out on Channel 5 on Sunday the 19th. I do not have the exact timings. I must also correct a mistake I wrote early in my e mail,as Lord Ashford his name is Lord Ashcroft. Sorry about this I do tend to slip up when typing as I have rather large hands??????
