Another notable character gone, it’s such a shame. I am left feeling infinitely sad and empty at the thought of never meeting these wonderful characters again.

There are so many amusing anecdotes that I could recount about Fred. He loved life and he was full of mischievous humour; he always made those around him smile.

Universally popular, he leaves us with treasured and joyous memories and he will be sorely missed by all those who knew him and we pass our condolences to those closest to him.

I was just thinking about Fred after seeing Dai had died. I was up in Anglesey last year & saw Fred in a pub in Llangefni. I went up to him & had a chat with him. He had not changed 1 bit.

Again, a very sad day and another great loss.

I haven't seen him for a very long time but I don't think he ever really got over losing his best mate Corporal David Smith when we were in Ebrington Barracks.

    RIP Fred.

Dai and Fred were two of the nicest men I ever had the pleasure and honour of sharing an odd potion with. Godbless them both till we meet again in the "other" Red Dragon.
