Roy "Buster" Crabbe
I have just received the following message from Ritchie 39
"Hi Bob, I have just received some bad news: Roy Buster Crab, formerly MT, past away on Tuesday 12th March 2008. Funeral arrangments are yet to be made. I will inform you when these have been finalised."
I can't tell you how sad this makes me. I hope at least that the heartfelt warmth, respect and gratitude expressed here and elsewhere brings some small level of comfort to his family and friends.

Re: Roy "Buster" Crabb
Wow! sad news indeed. I knew "Buster" from the Hong Kong and Tidworth days. Didn't know him well but he was always spoken highly of, especially by the MT boys.
My condolences to family and friends

Re: Roy "Buster" Crabb
I found a nice picture of Buster with all of his Mates from the MT, taken in 2000 at Wrexham:

Another sad loss to the Regiment. Rest in Peace.

Re: Roy "Buster" Crabb
A lovely bloke and a great character was Buster. He was also a very successful MT driving instructor as well. That had to do with his knowledge, his experience and of course the ability to climb onto the Battery housing in a Land Rover and give you a clout with his "Millboard". It worked!!
Godbless Roy.
If I can help somebody as I pass along, my living will not be in vain.

If I remember correctly Guv's, Buster was one of the MT Cpls during the early days of Lemgo, I think he probably left the battalion in late 79, early 80?
Condolances to his family
