Re: BEST EVER - Chef
I can`t remember his name but he was from S. Wales. Getting back from town in Berlin as the birds were singing & he was getting ready for the breakfast meal. Always made me egg banjos & gave me a coffee. Also in S. Georgia 82 we culled a deer (legally) & what the chef did with the venison was brilliant !

Smudge who toured with Deltas in the Falklands was a cracking chef and as mad as the fish he cooked!

Dai Storey in Bugonjo, Bosnia 1995, made a cracking corned beef curry with chillies, bought whilst on patrol and chips on DBD checkpoint, those passing through even stopped for some. Top Chef
Mike Carey on the rebro at Titos Fist, good cook and the fridge was always full, we even had tv, video etc, how he got them across i dont know.

Re: BEST EVER - Chef
Two names I remember going way back, Sgt McKensie a tall scouser who was the cook Sgt in the depot in Wrexham in 1959/60 and Pop Johnston who was in Bulford 60/63 who always appeared at the hotplate with his pipe in his mouth, both were excellant cook's.
I will not mention the worst that I came across as they may now be executive chefs somwhere.
Happy day's.
Joe.
