Re: Stuart Brunton
This is a massive shock. Reading Bob's announcement, it took me a few minutes to realise who it was. Stu's membername is stubexpc@yahoo.co.uk.
Stu was a massively loyal supporter of the forum, another member who had been out of the regimental circuit for a number of years, and once he found himself within our group, he made full use of it. He managed to link back up with his mates from the Band, and played a full part in all our discussions and activities. A really popular, active member of the site
Its very strange writing about someone you have never met, however he was a Royal Welchman, so we had at least one big thing in common. He was also former Police Officer, so again the gap between us narrows. Then, every day I log into this site, and normally Stu is online, making contributions, and playing his part in our community, so after a while you begin to build up a friendship within this group of individuals who all enjoy interacting via the forum, sharing ideas, disagreeing on some subjects and generally being good productive members of our community. You feel comfortable in their company. I will really miss him, and I know other members will feel the same.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to Stuarts family, who will be devastated, and of course to Stu's comrades from his army days in particular his old mates from the 1RWF Band.

Re: Stuart Brunton
Just like Al has said, I did not know Stu personally but got to know him through his many posts on the Forum. And it still comes as a great shock and with sadness. My thoughts are with his family at this time. God bless.

Re: Stuart Brunton (stubexpc@yahoo.co.uk..)
I am absolutely gob smacked.
I only communicated with him a few weeks ago after he sent me photos of the last Band Re-Union.
Caught up with him last year after 44 years and suddenly he is taken away from us.
I am lost for words. A real genuine, caring person.
