    Chester 2008 - Mountain Biking/Walking

Just a heads up for the boys, when they arrive at Dale Bks next year.

14 miles from Chester is Llandegla Forest. It has an excellent mountain bike centre, with all types of routes from novice to extreme. If you supply your own bike, all you pay for is the carparking (£1.50 for 3 hrs for starters). All the routes are well laid out and testing.

There is also a well situated visitors centre doing decent hot food, bike repairs ect. In addition bike are available for hire. There is also some excellent walking/Running trails, the longest about 7 - 8 miles, again well sign posted.

Its an ideal location for some platoon phys, sports afternoons etc, out of barracks and in a challenging location.

Scouse, there's those soldiers that prefer to cover rough ground by foot....they are called Infantry

Then there's those that prefer to travel by bike.........They are not infantry they're cyclists.

The last time your size 12's covered any rough ground, was the Saturday night walk from the bar to the bog in the Cambrian.. :cyclist: ring ring.

I did keep a sharp lookout for a large sweaty figure, hunched over a pygmies bike....no sightings, I assume you were working!!!

Scouse you know me so you know I'm not one for insults etc. However theres no way that you'd be able to get your lumps of corned beef over a cross bar. Are you using a girls bike?

Also stop picking on Larry's brother

I really dont do myself any favours!!!

note to self...think long and hard before posting abuse to fellow forum members!!

I did ask the bloke in the Cycle shop where I could get some spare tyres, He replied.." I think youve got enough mate!!"
