Father of Margaret Rees
Margaret Rees, living in Adelaide Australia and daughter of Francis Glyndwr Rees is searching information about her father.
Francis Glyndwr Rees was born 15/06/1915. He served in the Welsh Fusiliers during the 2nd World War. Up till now this is the only information we have.
Who can give Margaret a helping hand in her search.

Re: Father of Margaret Rees
Hi Jean Marie,
Thanks for your query.
I'm afraid we will need some more information to have any chance of helping Margaret.
Can you go back to her and find out some more detail?
If she is researching her fathers life, we could advise her about how to find more information about the family history.
If she is only looking at his military service, then the more detail she provides, the better chance of success. I would suggest that Margeret needs to apply for her Fathers Service Record, however, she would perhaps need a little more detail first, for example, does she know any locations at which her father served. This may help us narrow down which battalion within the regiment her father served with.
I would suggest you also have a look at the website link below
http://www.army.mod.uk/contacts/divisions/records.htm
Hope this is of some help.
Best Wishes

Re: Father Margaret Rees
Dear Al,
Margaret reacted on my website http://home.hccnet.nl/j.schonkeren in which I'm searching an unknown Irish soldier who served in the 2nd World War.
She asked me by E-mail how she could get information about her father and I attended her on this site of the Royal Welch Forum and how she can surf to it. I already asked her for more details, but untill now I got no answers. Maybe she has hollydays.
Thank you for your reaction and greetings,
JeanMarie

Re: Father Margaret Rees
Hello Al,
I informed Margaret Rees about the adress you gave me and where she can send a letter to ask the information about her father's military duty. I think she has to do this herself because she is a relative.
Thank's for your help and kind regards,
Jan Schonkeren (JeanMarie)
