It has been announced on Facebook, the passing of Gerry Griffiths 43, ex Chief Clerk RWF. A great guy with a wonderful sense of fun and humour. Rest in Peace, Gerry.

Gerry was undoubtedly one of the most capable administrators and clerks I had the privilege of serving alongside. He was exceptionally meticulous: every task, large or small, was completed properly, on time, and with no detail overlooked.
Beyond the paperwork and processes, he was a wonderful character, always ready with a laugh or a kind word of encouragement. Contemporaries like Gerry are rare, and they are remembered long after postings change and years pass. Gerry served with the 1st Bn from 1963 to 1978. He was then posted out to SWW Netheravon as ORC, 1978 - 1980. He left there to take up the post of Chief Clerk at HQUKLF Wilton.
He will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
