Help to find my Dads service number and possibly people who served with him

I hope I am posting this to the right place.
I am trying find out my Dads service number in order to request his service records, I was wondering if anyone on here could help me, also I am hoping to speak to anyone who served with him. My dad's name is David George Jones, he has been called George for as long as I have known. He was from Machynlleth, he was in the 1st battalion infantry brigade of the RWF and was in Hong Kong in 1969 and I believe he was also at the investiture before that. That's all I really know, I have an article but I am not sure how to upload it yet, I am new to this forum.
