Welcome to the July edition of the RHQ The Royal Welsh Newsletter.

This edition reports on several key personnel changes from Regimental Headquarters. We mark the retirements of Capt Des Williams DCM after 59 years and Ms Debbie Martin after 30 years of service. We also announce the selection of Lt Col Alex Rabbitt MBE as the next Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion and the appointment of Alun Wyn Jones OBE as Honorary Colonel of the 3rd Battalion.

You will also find an update on the 1st Battalion’s future platform change to the AJAX vehicle and a report from the 3rd Battalion’s participation in the Nijmegen Marches.
