    Margaret Holmes

My dear friend Margaret Holmes, the daughter of Frank Richards DCM MM of Great War fame, died recently while visiting her daughter Susan in Canada. I am probably one of the very few members of this Forum who knew her, but as she was instrumental in publishing the annotated editions of her Father's books in 2004-5 and also unveiled the RWF Truce Memorial in Frelinghien in 2008 I think she deserves to be remembered here.

A Memorial Service for Margaret Holmes will take place at St Andrew's Church in Crewe on Wednesday 5th March at 1.30 p.m.

    Re: Margaret Holmes

    Sad to hear that John,
I presume she was a good age? My memory isn't what it was, but I have a feeling I was present for the unveiling?

    Regards to her family,
    Clive

    She was 86, Clive.

You met her at the unveiling in 2008. Here is a photo to refresh your memory.
